The course

This course is the beginning of a future dancer’s training and aims to develop technique through an age-appropriate programme.
Physical development such as joint and muscular strengthening will form the indispensable basis for the continuation any career. Coordination is refined, and elegance and harmony in movements are crafted.
 In addition to regular dance classes, complementary classes in various disciplines will be included, including those in:

  • Theatrical Expression
  • Choral Singing
  • Creative Workshops
  • Complementary artistic practices (only for preparatory B, C and D)

Objectives

Preparatory Course A, B and C – Classical and Modern

  • Learning the first principles of dance in a playful form.
  • Strengthening of joint and muscle structure.
  • Beginning of the development of coordination.
  • Understanding of spatial reference in the various geometric shapes rows, lines, circles and squares.

Preparatory Course D – Classical

  • Strengthening of joint and muscle structure.
    Development of coordination, elegance and harmony in movements.
    Increased work on the correct development of muscular elasticity.

Preparatory Course D – Modern

  • Development of the primary foundations of a sense-perceptive work of movement in contact with the ground, which will lead the pupil to discover the difference between standing and articulate floorwork.

Requirements

Participants must be between 6 and 10 years of age.

No additional prerequisites necessary.
Our teachers will guide the young learners, ensuring an inclusive and stimulating environment for all.

All participants will be provided a common attire.

Exams and Certifications

For all preparatory courses (A,B,C and D) there is an end-of-year examination with an external committee and a final grade.
